Just returning from a trip to Japan the Cotton Club Pee Wee Ellis one thing about Pee Wee always amazes me his ability to find amazing musicians to support all those different styles of playing saxophone weather it be Tenor or soprano. This trip was no different Lawrence Cottle is a beast on bass …. Mark Mondesir on drums a straight monster this is my first meeting of these gentlemen and I hope it won’t be my last Gareth Williams on keys I’ve had the pleasure of working with over the years with peewee and the still black still proud Tour. And on guitar the very smooth Oakland’ s Own Ray Obiedo…. Tearing it up for 4 nights we had a great time there as much as we did last year I’m hoping to get the Pee Wee Ellis funk assembly here in the Bay Area in the near future I’m thinking you all would really enjoy the show… The entire staff at the Cotton Club was incredible would love to go back next year that’s it for now talk to you soon…peace Gang.
